Authorities say Quintana Roo attends international tourism fairs in search of closing businesses that allow more growth for the state.
The Mexican Caribbean is participating in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2020; which, started on January 22 and will be ending on Sunday 26 of the same month.
The Riviera Maya promoting different destinations; Given this, Quintana Roo managed to reap his first international success, as he received the award for "Best Sun Destination, Playa day Adventure in the World," awarded by the group "Digital Journalist" in his Travelers Awards 2020.
"La FITUR" of Madrid, is one the most important tourist promotion meetings in the world, and Quintana Roo assists in the search to close businesses that allow more growth for the state, more business opportunities, and more jobs for people.
The governor Carlos Joaquín shared the triumph through social networks, while thanking the director of the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo (CPTQ), Darío Flota Ocampo, for receiving the laurel.
Meanwhile, the secretary of tourism of Quintana Roo Marisol Vanegas Pérez stressed that the entity will participate, together with the World Tourism Organization, in the actions of sustainability in tourism and environmental matters.
"We will have several meetings with airlines, travel wholesalers, and others working session with Ion Vilcu; director of the Department of Affiliated Members of the OMT, to detail the OMT World Meeting, which will held at the Riviera Maya in May of this year, ”said Vanegas.
